Turquoise has been revered since ancient times as a symbol of great wealth, wisdom and protection and has a long history of use by kings, shamans and warriors. The name of this blue-green mineral is derived from French, meaning “Turkish stone”. Blue turquoise results from the presence of copper in the stone. When paired with copper, the power of turquoise is enhanced. Associated with the fifth/throat chakra, this necklace rests perfectly at the collar bone to activate clear communication.
